Frequently asked questions
What is Essense?
Essense is a health-education platform for schools, for children aged 9–15. It includes ready-made lessons for each age and an AI guide that works within limits set by the teacher. Parents can see every lesson.
Does the AI replace the teacher?
No. The teacher chooses the lessons and controls what the class sees. The AI guide helps children understand the material. It makes no decisions about the class.
Does it give medical advice?
No. Essense is an educational tool and does not replace a doctor. For personal health questions, the guide points the child to a trusted adult or a doctor.
Can parents see the lessons?
Yes. Every lesson a child can see is open to their parents.
Which ages is it for?
Children aged 9–15, in three bands: 9–11, 12–13 and 14–15. Topics are age-appropriate.
Is it approved by the Greek Ministry of Education?
No, Essense has no official approval at the moment. We will only say so if and when it does.
How much does it cost?
We don't publish prices. The scope and cost of a pilot are agreed with each school.
What happens to children's data?
We collect only what a lesson needs to work, under the GDPR. We don't sell data and we don't show ads. This website collects no children's data at all.
